Snowmageddon 2?

I'm a little caught up in the hype and excited for the snow! Thoughts of snow take me to thoughts of heat and snow melt (isn't that the same for everyone?)

Roof and gutters can be severely damaged by ice buildup. Ice dams and icicles form when the accumulated snow on a roof melts, and refreezes. When icicles begin to form, there is potential for both structural damage and safety issues.

Raychem Roof & Gutter De-Icing Heat Trace System maintains a continuous path for roof snow melt to drain from the roof through the gutter and downspout. S
elf-regulating electric heat trace cables automatically adjust their power output to compensate for temperature changes, resulting in lower energy output, and eliminating the possibility of overheating.

Raychem IceStop self-regulating heat trace cables have a heating element that consists of a continuous core of conductive polymer extruded between two copper bus wires.
As current flows through the core, the IceStop heat trace cable regulates its own heat output in response to ambient conditions—eliminating hot spots and resulting in better temperature control and roof and gutter protection.

Our counters are well versed in these systems and can help you set up a simple job.  For a large or more complicated system, you may need to contact "Mr. Heat", our very own John Lyman, who specializes in this sort of work.

If you are thinking about a remodeling job, or are starting off new, consider adding EZ Heat Warm Tiles to your plans. They are designed to gently warm flooring materials such as marble, ceramic and porcelain tile, laminate, slate, and graniteƒƒ. UL Listed and CSA Certified, the Easy Heat Warm Tile cable is placed in the mortar just below the tiles, never compromising tile installation.

Add an Easy Heat GTS-1 programmable thermostat and your feet will thank you every winter! The thermostat has a four event per day programmable set back, or can be operated manually. Sensor wire monitors floor temperature for accurate comfort control.Includes On/Off switch, choice of doors with or without display window. 120V, maximum 16A. UL listed to U.S.A. and CanadianSafety Standards. White. GFCI Rated.
