New Branch in Alexandria!

We couldn't be happier to announce the addition of a new branch to the Dominion family - and a new pickup location for our customers!

Richard Smith, YES Electrical Supply, has a few things to add for his customers:  "After 24 years as the owner of YES Electrical Supply Inc., I have decided to transition into retirement. On September 18, 2012, certain assets of YES were acquired by Dominion Electric Supply Company. To insure that the acquisition process runs as smoothly as possible, I will continue to work with Dominion Electric Supply in their Sales Division at the same address 5380-B Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, Va. I am excited about this new opportunity. Dominion is planning on remodeling the store and expanding the inventory offering. I am confident we can continue to serve you well.

Thank you for your patience during our transition. Feel free to contact me with any questions at the shop, 703-823-6603.

And Thank you for your business over the years and I look forward to seeing you soon. Smitty"

Remodeling is just about done and our staff and inventory is there.  Hope to see you soon.

How to address water-damaged equipment and make repairs

Leviton Manufacturing just sent me an email that is very worthy to share. Thanks Leviton!:

Hurricane Sandy has disrupted lives and caused extensive damage to homes, businesses and government structures. Now people are anxious to repair the damage and get on with their lives. Electrical professionals need to know how to address and repair water-damaged equipment.

NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) has developed a comprehensive report that details how to address water-damaged equipment and make repairs.

NEMA also provides a chart identifying specific types of electrical apparatus and if they can be reconditioned or simply replaced after exposure to water and wet environments.
